Using your
walking foot
Part 3

Ileana Laws
£50.00
This workshop continues on from Parts 1 and 2 of the very popular “Using your Walking Foot workshops”.

In parts one and two we covered walking foot basics as well as learning to prepare and mark our quilt, prevent puckers and manage large projects. We also marked and quilted a variety of patterns using tape, and templates for edge to edge quilting as well as patterns suitable for borders, and sashing.

In “Using your walking foot Part 3” there will be new quilting patterns for traditional and modern quilts using curved and straight patterns with different ways of marking as well as new ways to create templates.

Taster Session

Sarah Short

This is a relaxed hand sewing workshop to introduce you to English Paper Piecing (also known as EPP).

EPP is the century’s old technique of wrapping fabric over paper templates and then hand sewing the shapes together to create accurate patchwork.

In this workshop you will use a mixture of methods and products both modern and traditional to create a small sample block.

This is a great workshop for lovers of hand piecing.

Third Thursday
in the Month
Come along and join us for a day of quilting, and conversation with other quilters.

You can carry on with any quilting project you would like to finish or start a new one. You might have started a quilt in a workshop or simply have quilts sitting at the bottom of a cupboard waiting for you to have the time to get to them.

Bring along any unfinished top and spend the day ‘finishing it off’ – it might be choosing your borders and sewing them, sandwiching, or getting ideas for hand/ or machine quilting. Bring along a quilted top and spend the day adding the binding, labels and finishing touches.

There is nothing like working in a ‘QUILTING BUBBLE’ for inspiration and ideas.
